All Girls Makes All The Difference
At St. Mary's Academy, unique, confident women leaders are not the exception to the rule - they're everyone you meet. Since 1859, when a group of passionate Sisters founded a school for women when none like it existed, St. Mary's has always been a place that nurtures extraordinary women leaders.
Girls’ school graduates are 6 times more likely to consider majoring in math, science, and technology compared to girls who attended coeducational schools. At St. Mary's Academy, we are thrilled to deliver a better STEM experience for young women, with myriad classes including AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Science Research Methods as well as Oregon's only all-girls Robotics and Science Olympiad teams
St. Mary's Academy student athletes compete at the highest level of competition in the state in the Three Rivers League across 11 sports. Through training and guidance, we empower young women by teaching and providing them with necessary tools to make confident and positive decisions on or off the field.
St. Mary's Academy is known for it's award-winning Arts program, offering classes in Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theatre.
St. Mary's is a place where women take risk on the field, on the stage, and in the lab; where women are changing the definition of leadership.
Faith & Service
Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, St. Mary's Academy has a strong foundation in the Catholic faith. Additionally, we are proud of our diverse faith community and are committed to nurturing each student's spiritual growth.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
St. Mary’s Academy, guided by the charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and Catholic values, is committed to being a diverse community in which all members are safe, respected, valued, and they feel that they belong.
Let us acknowledge, with humility, that the land upon which St. Mary's Academy is located is the native home to the First Nations who make their homes along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Let us be aware that we occupy their homeland, that their presence is imbued in this land and their legacy is all around us. We offer respectful recognition of the Indigenous communities in our country today and to those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
