Congratulations to the St. Mary’s fall athletes and coaches for their collective successes over the past two and a half months.
The varsity soccer team wrapped up their season playing into the second round of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) 6A State Soccer playoffs. The team ended the regular season as the twenty-fourth team in the state power rankings earning a berth to the playoffs and a first round match against the ninth-seeded Sunset Apollos on the road. The Blues played a tough defensive match, winning 4-1 in OT on PK’s.
In their second round match, the team traveled to Barlow to play the eighth-seed Mt. Hood Conference champions in a fog bank that at times made it hard to see more than half of the field. The Blues played a strong match coming close on several drives, but coming up short 0-2 to end their season.
