Schoolpool

St. Mary's Academy piloted the SchoolPool carpooling software in 2021 in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). This software allows you to see the contact information of SMA families in your neighborhood. Everything is plotted on an easy-to-view map, so you can decide who to reach out to for carpools or other friendly connections! Families who opted into SchoolPool during enrollment will receive an email in June with instructions on how to claim their accounts.

How do I access SchoolPool?

Because this is a secure and exclusive network for St. Mary’s Academy, families must claim their account every year using a personalized link provided in an email by the school. This year, emails will be sent in June. When these emails go out, we ask that families carefully read through all instructions and use a computer (not smart phone/tablet) to claim their account.

All new, incoming families will need to create a login and claim their accounts. Returning families will follow one of two paths, depending on whether they accessed the SchoolPool network last year. Click here to learn more.

What can I do in SchoolPool?

There are only 2 main tabs in the SchoolPool webpage. The first tab allows you to edit the household information shared with SMA families. The second tab allows you to see a live map of your neighborhood with icons that represent other current SMA families. Think of this as a snazzy, geographical school directory that makes connecting with current families incredibly easy! After claiming your account, return to SchoolPool anytime by logging into the Get There website and clicking the orange school tab.

What are the other features of this website?

SchoolPool is housed within the Get There website. This website is managed by ODOT and allows Oregonians to compare commute options, find a carpool, track environmentally conscious stats, and more! Because SchoolPool is part of the larger Get There program, it is easy to navigate outside of our SMA SchoolPool community. You are welcome to find carpools for your work commute, but you do NOT need to disclose any of that information to claim your household in SchoolPool.
