Monika Freese RD, LD (Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian) has been a registered dietitian for over 16 years, working mainly in the hospital and out-patient clinical settings. She ran track and cross country in high school and has always been drawn to how food affects the body and mind. Her interest in nutrition has only grown and evolved since becoming a mom and raising two active kids. She loves running, skiing, gardening, and cooking.  Education: Washington State University; Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition; Coordinated Program in Dietetics.

Kimberly Hall MD is an OHSU Orthopedic Sports Medicine surgeon.  She was born and raised in Hawaii where she swam and played water polo. She attended Stanford University and was a captain for the 2011 NCAA Women's Water Polo championship team. She returned to Hawaii for medical school and then continued her orthopedic medical training with residency back at Stanford and then a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. She helped to cover the football teams at both institutions as well as the hockey, swimming, and water polo teams at Michigan. She is now a surgeon for OHSU and continues to cover high school football and provide medical care to high school athletes. When able, she also helps provide medical coverage for USA Water Polo as well, recently covering their Junior Women's National Team at the World Aquatics Championships.

Anne “OT Annie” Murphy-Hagan, OTR/L is a 2006 St. Mary’s Academy alumna.  Under coach Mike Bojorquez, the Blues Cross Country team was 3x conference champions and finished 3rd in state in '02 and 2nd in state in '03. She was an All-state honoree all 4 years and went on to run Cross Country for the Santa Clara University Broncos.  She is a bilingual (Spanish-English speaking) occupational therapist at Shriners Children's.  She is also a mother to an active toddler to whom she hopes to pass on a love of running.

Joe Thoits, MD is an Assistant Professor of Child Psychiatry at OHSU and Medical Director of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric inpatient unit at Unity Center for Behavioral Health.  Growing up outside of LA his childhood was defined by soccer, something he played at a high level up through high school when his club team and subsequently high school team won the state championships.  In medical school he found cycling, his sporting passion for the last 20 years.  Still an avid soccer fan as well as a cycling fan, he believes that the importance of engagement through sport for general health and well-being cannot be overstated, it is something he preaches to his patients and something he lives and breathes every day.
