Health 2 | 10th-12th grade

June 28-August 27 with finals week being August 23-27

This online course explores a variety of current health topics, such as self-defense, the skeletal system, HIV and AIDS, public health, and emergency response. CPR/AED and First Aid certification must be obtained outside of this course at an additional cost. SMA students earn 0.5 credit. All students must attend a mandatory orientation with the instructor in June to enroll in this course. Students unable to attend this mandatory informational meeting must schedule another time during finals week to meet with the instructor.

Other Requirements: Class is open to St. Mary's Academy students only. Students must have access to a computer and the Internet on a regular, ongoing basis throughout the summer to complete and submit assignments.

American Government | 11th-12th grade

Dates: June 21-August 13 with finals week being August 9-13

This online course examines the formal institutions of government, emphasizing the process of government. SMA students earn 0.5 credit. All students must attend a 15-minute mandatory Zoom orientation with the instructor to enroll in this course. Orientation sessions will be offered June 14-17.  Students unable to attend one of the planned sessions must schedule another time during finals week to meet with the instructor.
