Moab Trip
Do you love hands-on learning and outdoor education? Environmental justice, camping, and paddling a canoe? Riparian zones and stargazing? Are the walls of Labyrinth Canyon calling your name?
SMA Moab 2026 / Labyrinth Canyon Canoe Trip: Students will spend a week paddling a canoe down the still waters of the Green River near Canyonlands National Park in Southern Utah. It is an outdoor immersion trip through Canyonlands Field Institute for students who love adventure and learning.
Dates: April 19–25, 2026
*April 25 is prom. Our flight arrives at PDX at 9:42am on the day of prom.
Applications Available: October 8, 2025 / Application Deadline: October 22, 2025
Cost: $2,000 (includes airfare, hotels, educational program, meals while on the river)
- Fifteen students from SMA will be selected. Applications are available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Senior applicants will be given priority.
- Spring athletes cannot participate in this immersion trip.
- Prom is April 25. Our flight arrives at PDX at 9:45am on the day of prom. Flight delays are never anticipated but always a possibility.
- The application will take less than 15 minutes to complete!
