Silent, But Deadly
When: October 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Rating: PG
About: Silent, but Deadly is a Murder-Mystery Farce about an eccentric filmmaker who is trying to make one final silent movie before the talkies take over Hollywood. His masterpiece titled “Das Vampyre, Scourge of the Night” seems doomed to fail as he tries to get his cast of washed-up divas, method actor Vampires, and untalented actors all jockeying for their staring moment to finish the show on time. To add to his woes, he has hired a private detective to uncover and foil a plot to murder his leading lady. Chaos ensues as everyone becomes a suspect with 24 hours to finish the movie! As a special bonus, we also filmed the silent movie and we screen it at each performance. You will see our (short) version of the silent movie that the eccentric director tries so hard to complete. "Das Vampyre, Scourge of the Night.” produced by the SMA Theatre Department. will be shown to our Silent, but Deadly audiences each performance. The very first screening for the audience AND the cast/crew will be on opening night, Oct 3rd! Don't miss this laugh-out-loud Farce that might keep you guessing until the end!
