Bluesters

The St. Mary's Academy Bluesters are SMA parents, alumnae, and community members committed to SMA's quality athletic programs. We are here to cheer on our student athletes through game-day events, fundraising, and support. The Bluesters expand upon vibrant and holistic game-day experiences for our student athletes and our community.

St. Mary’s Academy’s Bluester Club works to support all sports and is focused on establishing and maintaining a first-class athletic program consistent with the school’s mission and values.

Bluester Club Members:

•       Build community around SMA athletics and work to ensure exceptional experiences for all student-athletes.

•       Promote sports programs to increase student interest, parent and alumnae involvement, and broader community outreach, including planning of special game-day experiences.

•       Assist with planning of sports-related development activities, including team camps, service opportunities, concessions, and SMA apparel.

•       Help to provide student-athletes with the support and equipment that will increase their probability of success 

•       Collaborate with SMA administration and coaches to identify specific areas where supplemental funds are needed.

•       Help plan and execute fundraisers in conjunction with school interests.

•       Solicit support from the surrounding community and area businesses through sponsorship, mentoring, and service opportunities.

•       Help identify other opportunities to support SMA athletics and institutional goals.

Bluester Club Organization Meetings:

  • Monthly meetings during the school year
  • Quarterly season-specific meetings with coaches and athletic department to formulate strategy, needs, and encouragement for the coming season
  • Annual social event
