Vicki Dieringer Ford '69 Alumnae Service Project

Your Alumnae Council is excited to announce the inaugural St. Mary's Academy Vicki Dieringer Ford '69 Alumnae Service Project. Vicki '69 was a founding member of the council and a tireless volunteer for her parish, for SMA, and for her many causes. Sadly, she died quite suddenly in September 2024, and we hope to honor her spirit of giving with our efforts.

Our project will support two Portland non-profits by collecting items requested by Mother & Child Education Center and Project Lemonade (see drop downs below for details regarding these entities). Our collection drop off day will be Wednesday, July 16. Volunteers will be available to collect items from your car between 10 am - 6 pm on July 16 at St. Mary's Academy, 1615 SW 5th Avenue. Please see below for a list of items.

Mother and Child Education Center, a favorite of Vicki's, provides outreach and support to new mothers and babies who lack other support networks and means. The organization has kindly requested the following items:

·       Diapers (sizes newborn, 4, 5 and 6)

·       Baby Wipes (unscented)

·       Baby Formula

Project Lemonade focuses on the well-being of children in foster care. Project Lemonade has kindly requested the following items:

·       School backpacks (NEW only)

·       Socks (NEW only)

Both organizations embody the SNJM charism of serving the marginalized, particularly women and children in need. We are excited to bring our alumnae community together to support them.
