Apply for 9th grade (Class of 2029)

1. Create an account & schedule a visit!

2. High School Placement Test (HSPT)

3. Submit Application Forms by January 10

4. Submit School/Teacher forms by January 29

(Optional) Financial Aid Application by January 10

Apply for need-based scholarships and financial aid grants by January 10. In addition to a completed admissions application, parents will submit:

FACTS Financial Aid Application
2023 Federal Tax return
2023 W-2's (if applicable)
Letter explaining any special circumstances that may not be covered in the FACTS application, and or more information about why you are requesting assistance.

Applications received after January 10 will be reviewed based upon available funds.

(Optional) Merit-Scholarship Application by January 20

(Optional) Family Meeting

Class of 2029 applicants who meet the priority deadlines above will receive their admission and financial aid/scholarship decisions via email at 5:00 p.m., March 7, 2025.

Do you accept transfer students?

Yes! If your daughter is currently in high school, she may apply to transfer to SMA. Applications will be considered on a space-available basis for entry in the fall or at the start of second semester in late January. Transfer students must show a successful completion of appropriate number of credit hours for current status to reach fulfillment of the St. Mary's Academy graduation requirements.

Do you have programs for students with learning differences?

We offer a challenging, college-preparatory program aimed at establishing a solid intellectual foundation from which our students can grow and succeed. The school is able to provide reasonable accommodations to students with a wide range of learning differences. We value the parent partnership and request parents disclose learning differences in the admissions application. Understanding a student's learning differences during the application process allows us to provide the best academic support possible. All requested accommodations need to be documented by an outside provider.
