Admissions Process

The application for students applying to 9th grade for the 2023-2024 school year will be available in October. If you are interested in applying for the current school year, please contact our office.  Students currently in high school, seeking to transfer to St. Mary’s for grades 10-12, please view our transfer applicant admissions page.

  1. Create an account in our Admissions Portal to access all forms. 
  2. Register for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) 
  3. The Admissions Application and all forms will be available in October in the Admissions Portal. For priority consideration, submit the following forms by January 13, 2023. After January 13, we operate on a rolling admissions basis. 
    • Admissions Application (demographics and $65 fee)
    • Student Questionnaire
    • Parent Questionnaire
  4. School Records and Teacher Recommendation Forms - FORMS AVAILABLE in December 2022.  For priority consideration, please submit by February 2. 
  5. Family Interview - Join us for a 20-minute conversation with a faculty member in late January/early February (scheduling opens in December). 
  6. (Optional) Virginia Mathews Merit-Based Scholarships - forms available in the Admissions Portal (available by November 1), responses due January 23, 2023. Late applications not accepted.
  7. (Optional) Apply for financial aid and need-based scholarships- FACTS financial aid application (available November 1) is reviewed separately from a student admissions application. Submit the FACTS application, 2021 tax returns and W-2s by January 13, 2021 for priority consideration. Applications received after January 13 will be reviewed based upon available funds. 

Applicants to Grade 9 who meet the priority deadlines above will receive their admission and financial aid/scholarship decisions via email at 5pm, March 10, 2023.
