Students Take the Stage in Wonderland, an SMA Original Production

This weekend, our talented students performed an SMA original production of Wonderland: A Who (or What) Dunnit, written and directed by Fine Arts Teacher and Theatre Director, Shannon More. The first performance took place Thursday afternoon with 300 special guests from local area Catholic schools including St. Matthew, St. Agatha, St. Rose, St. Therese, and St. Thomas More. We are so grateful to our guest audience who were the first to see this mysterious portrayal of a behind-the-scenes take on Alice in Wonderland.

Wonderland, a play-within-a-play, is a fast-paced mystery farce that pays homage to all of the fantastical elements in Alice in Wonderland, as well as the somewhat strange and quirky habits of theatre artists.

As the mystery unfolded, the audience was captivated by compelling storytelling and witty one-liners, along with dramatic theatricals of whirling lights, trap doors, and Alice falling down the rabbit hole!

Shannon More reflected on the weekend success saying, "It was the most attended and well received fall show we've had in my tenure. What a wonderful way to kick off the school year!" Thank you to all who attended and cheered on this talented cast and crew.
