St. Mary's Welcomes Back Live Theatre with Clue: On Stage

St. Mary's Academy Theater Director, Shannon More has always said she has the best gig in the school. “I really love telling stories with students.” Shannon’s job has gotten even better this school year with the return of live theatre on campus.  “We are so excited to bring back live theatre to our community,” says More. The first production is a small-ensemble fall play, “Clue: On Stage”, and will feature two casts. This gives even more students the opportunity to perform, including freshmen who will be making their SMA theatre debut, and seniors giving their final curtain calls.

Based on the beloved Parker Brothers board game, which was turned into a cult classic movie, “Clue: On Stage” tells the story of six dinner guests who are invited to a dinner party by a mysterious host. The invitation states that it will be to the guests’ advantage to join the party as the host intends to end a long-standing financial liability. As the guests arrive, they begin to realize that the dinner party is not what they thought it would be. Then, when their host is mysteriously murdered, all mayhem breaks loose as the guest scramble to not only solve the murder, but to stay alive.

Clue: On Stage opens Friday, October 15 at 7 PM and will run two performances Saturday, October 16 at 1 PM and 6 PM, and a Sunday Matinee October 17 at 1 PM.

In-person ticketing is limited, but the department is offering a Livestream option which can be viewed live during the scheduled performance times mentioned above.
