Foundresses' Day 2021

This year marks the 162nd anniversary of the founding of St. Mary's Academy. Each October, we celebrate and honor the history and legacy of St. Mary's and the twelve Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary who founded the school. The infographic below shares some of that 162 year history.

We typically celebrate Foundresses' Day with an all-school Mass, luncheon program, tours and class pictures for alumnae observing their 50th, 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th reunion years. This year, our celebrations looked a little different with student-led prayer services and a tribute to the class of 1971 who would have celebrated their 50th reunion. We look forward to celebrating their reunion, as well as all of the reunions that had to be postponed due to the Pandemic, in the near future.
