Parents' Association

The mission of St. Mary's Parent Association is to connect parents-to-parents, parents-to-students and parents-to-St. Mary's. The Parent Association works to build a sense of community through encouraging planning, organizing and participation in annual events such as the Father-Daughter Dinner and Dance, Mother-Daughter Beach Day and the Senior Grad Night Party. In addition, the PA's Hospitality and Faculty/Staff Appreciation committees plan and organize activities during the school year. The PA publishes the Parents' Association newsletter. The Parent Association has a number of ongoing committees — Join us! We meet in the library (unless otherwise posted) at 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month.

Father/Daughter Committee

The Father Daughter Dinner Dance is an evening event for fathers and daughters held in early October. The evening is full of fun, food, a variety of dance styles, tributes by seniors for their fathers and lots of laughter and sharing. The committee is responsible for all aspects of event.

Register online or complete the registration form and return it to the school.

Mother Daughter Beach Day Committee

Mother Daughter Beach Day is held on a Saturday in May. The day is filled with a variety of activities for mothers and daughters to play, laugh, eat and just enjoy being together. The committee is in charge of all aspects of the event.

Hospitality Committee

The Hospitality committee provides refreshments for Back to School Night held in September, New Parent Night in April and meals for the teachers during parent/teacher conferences in the fall.

Faculty/Staff Appreciation Committee

The Faculty/Staff Appreciation Committee coordinates the celebration of Faculty/Staff Appreciation Week each May. Refreshments are provided throughout the week and a buffet luncheon is provided for faculty and staff on Thursday. At random times throughout the school year the committee surprises the faculty and staff with treats or refreshments.

The Parent Association Newsletter is published each month during the academic year. It contains information from the Parents’ Association, school administration, development, calendar updates, academic departments, special events, student activities, athletics, awards, volunteer opportunities, thank yous and so much more. The newsletter is sent electronically to parents of current students.

Grad Party

The Grad Party is responsible for all aspects of the Grad Night Party that is open to all graduating seniors. The Grad Night is an overnight party beginning the night of graduation until the following morning. Learn more about the 2015 Grad Party here.
