Greetings,

The Poverty Awareness Day Committee is pleased to announce the arrival of a new event to St. Mary's Academy. Previously, the Poverty Awareness Committee, a student led group, has put on a day-long program for the students to bring awareness of a global issue through activities, discussion, and grassroots efforts. This year we are branching out to include an evening program to educate parents and community members as well.  Previous topics have included genocide, human rights, and homelessness.  This year's theme is DEBT, both personal and international.  Please come and learn more about this unique and important program at St. Mary's and learn skills regarding money management for you and your teen. We will ha ve a guest speaker from CARE, a credit abuse resistance program. Refreshments and childcare will be provided, please RSVP to povertyawareness@stmaryspdx.org

Tuesday, April 17

Doors open at 7:00, event begins at 7:30
