Senior Maureen Timoney and junior Isabelle Prosser have qualified for the USRowing Junior National Championships in Cincinnati, OH. Maureen and Isabelle, who row for Rose City Rowing Club in the Varsity Women’s boat, will travel with the rest of their boat to Cincinnati in June to race some of the best teams in the country. The girls qualified for Nationals at the USRowing Northwest Junior Rowing Championships at Vancouver, WA May 18-20. They raced some of the best varsity girls’ boats in the region, and their third place finish earned them their spot at Nationals. Coming off their sixth place finish (out of 60 teams, most of them from the East Coast) at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston last October, Nationals should be a great test for the girls to see how their boat has improved during the spring season.
