St. Mary’s annual auction features over 1,000 unique and exciting items each year. Auction item sales account for almost a third of our total auction goal and as such are vitally important to the success of our event. Auction items are secured through renewal solicitation letters, new contacts and the networking of our wonderful procurement team.
This year’s auction needs a few good men and women to join our fantastic procurement team. Are you a big thinker or an ideas person? If so, we need you! Are you a social butterfly or love meeting new people? Well, we need you too! If you’ve attended a number of auctions or just have auction know-how, please come join us!
Feeling a little intimidated or overwhelmed? Well, don’t! We truly don’t expect everyone to secure $1,000 items. Donations of all sizes and values are important to us and we are truly grateful for each item, big or small, that is received. Joining the procurement team is a great way to meet fellow parents who care about St. Mary’s and understand the need to sustain the excellent academic programs for young women. The procurement folks only meet a handful of times and the meetings are fun and informal. We use the meeting time to brainstorm new packages and bounce ideas off one another. And keep in mind…the best part about procurement work is that it’s all done two weeks before the auction!
