Starting Monday, April 16, the contractor for the Mall Light Rail Project will start work at the location of SW 5th and Mill. The work will be on the west side of SW 5th from Mill north to encompass approximately 1/2 of the block. This will require two lanes of SW 5th closed at SW 5th & Mill. Duration is approximately one month. The water work on SW 5th at Market will be complete at the end of this week and Market will be fully open. Right turns from SW 5th to Mill will be allowed. The contractor has been requested to provide a flagger from approximately 7:00am - 9:00am daily to assist parents as they drop students off on SW 5th.
Please advise parents to be cautious of Streetcar operations as they leave the front of the school. It is recommended during the duration of this water work, that drop off and pick up of students occur on SW Mill.
