ST. MARY'S WELCOMES NEW BASKETBALL COACH
ART ROJAS

After an exhausting three month process, St. Mary's has hired an exciting and very decorated new Head Basketball Coach, Art Rojas.  Coach Rojas joins SMA with a wealth of experience as a high school basketball coach and teacher.  He has coached at the high school level for 18 years, including 4 years as the varisty girls' coach at Moses Lake HS, 10 years at Ferris HS in Spokane, and this past season as Head Coach at Hudson's Bay HS in Vancouver.  Additionally, he has been recognized in all three positions for Coach of the Year honors in the Big Nine, Greater Spokane, and Greater St. Helens' Leagues.  His teams have made playoff appearances 13 times at the district level, 6 at the regional and 3 at the State Level.

A graduate of Whitman College with a degree in Spanish language and literature, Coach Rojas holds teaching endorsements in Spanish, English and History.  In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he will be joining our faculty as a member of the foreign language department.

With his wealth of experience and extensive background, SMA looks forward to Coach Rojas joining our community and adding vigor to our storied basketball history at the school!
