St. Mary’s Academy will host the school’s 13th annual Food for Thought fundraising luncheon on Monday, November 13, 2006, at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower (921 SW Sixth Avenue). Doors open for the social hour at 11:00 a.m. The luncheon program begins at 12:00 noon.
Individual tickets are $75; table sponsorships begin at $750 (tables seat 10).

This year’s event features keynote speaker Linda Wertheimer, senior national correspondent at National Public Radio. Ms. Wertheimer is a graduate of all-female Wellesley College and has been with NPR since it’s inception in 1971. For more than three decades, she has played an integral role at NPR, initially the first director of the flagship news magazine, All Things Considered, then its host for over ten years. A veteran broadcast journalist, Wertheimer has set new standards for women. In 1976, she became the first woman to anchor network coverage of a presidential nomination convention and of election night. She is also the first person, man or woman, to broadcast live from inside the United States Senate chamber.
Join us! Together we will raise tuition assistance funds for deserving St. Mary’s Academy students.
