Help your student succeed in school - Feb. 4
SMA will be welcoming educator, author and national speaker Marydee Sklar for a special presentation on how to “Help your Student Succeed” on Wednesday, February 4 from 7:15 - 9:15 p.m. at St. Mary’s Academy in the Student Commons. If your child struggles with getting homework started, is disorganized, or is emotionally resistant to school or learning, this introduction to executive function skills will help you give your student the tools needed for success. Constitutional Law Team Wins at Regional Competition
Last week, 12 students from the newly formed St. Mary’s Academy Constitutional Law team, led by teacher Donald Housley, participated in the Classroom Law Project regional competition held at Lake Oswego High School. The team earned an award for “Outstanding Performance.” Read more here
Campus Expansion Update
St. Mary's Academy has started demolition of the former University Station post office, purchased in September of 2013. The addition of this city block, located adjacent to the current school building will double our school's footprint. This is an exciting time in the history of St. Mary’s Academy and the start of demolition puts us one step closer to building the future of education for young women in Portland. Learn more here
