Seventeen St. Mary’s Academy seniors recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation
Three St. Mary’s Academy seniors have been named 2015 National Merit Scholarship Corporation semifinalists, representing less than one percent of all U.S. high schoolers taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Fourteen young women from St. Mary’s have been named commended students in the 2015 National Merit Program, placing among the top 50,000 of the 1.5 million students who took the test nationwide. Two students take over St. Mary's Academy as principals for a day
St. Mary’s Academy seniors Devon and Sydney Thompson lucked out at the Auction last April where their parents won the bid for “Principals for a Day” for them. Join us for the 21st annual Food for Thought Luncheon benefiting financial aid on Tuesday, November 18. More than $1.6 million in financial aid has been committed for the 2014-15 school year to 41 percent of St. Mary’s students and funding for financial aid is one of the school’s greatest needs.
