Young Alumnae & SMA Seniors, Spend the 5th Day of Christmas on 5th Avenue!
On Saturday, December 27 the SMA Alumnae Department is hosting its annual event, “Spend the 5th Day of Christmas on 5th Avenue” from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Academy in the Student Commons. Alumnae from the classes of 2005-2014 are invited to share memories, enjoy light appetizers, and reunite with SMA friends at this event held at St. Mary’s. Current SMA seniors are also invited to network with young alumnae who are attending their colleges of interest.

21 SMA students volunteered at NW Pilot Project Holiday Luncheon
Northwest Pilot Project (NWPP), a downtown Portland non-profit agency preventing homelessness for low-income and disabled seniors, hosted its client Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 12. This special event is Northwest Pilot Project’s holiday gift to their clients. NWPP’s guests enjoyed a full holiday meal served by 21 St. Mary’s Academy student volunteers, as well as the signing of carols, a raffle, and more. Read more here
Students Participate in Second Annual Hour of Code
This week, students learned and experienced computer coding as part of the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a global effort to expose young people to the basics of coding through the use of games, apps and other hands-on activities. Students discovered that many exciting opportunities are open to them in the technology and computer science fields. Read more here
