Throughout our history, St. Mary’s
Academy honors its founding commitment to provide a quality,
college-preparatory Catholic education to young women regardless of
their family’s financial ability to pay full tuition. St. Mary’s annual
and endowed scholarships provide vital resources to ensure all young
women can access and benefit from a St. Mary’s Academy education.
Today, 42 percent of students receive some
financial aid and in 2012-2013 St. Mary’s provided more than $1,158,715
in tuition assistance. Annual and endowed scholarships provide
critical resources to help meet this need.
Many of our existing scholarships are
named to honor individuals or families, or to memorialize deceased
alumnae and friends. Any endowed or annual scholarship may be named
according to the donor's wishes.

Criteria for Both Annual and Endowed Scholarships
St. Mary's development staff works in conjunction with donors to establish criteria for awarding scholarships. Some criteria to consider includes:
- Financial need, as qualified through the tuition assistance program
- Minimum grade point average for eligibility and renewal;
- Renewed to the same student for a series of years or disbursed to a different student each year;
- Awarded for excellence in a particular discipline or area, such as Science, Math or English.
