Since its founding, St.
Mary’s Academy has been blessed with remarkable support from those
who are committed to the school’s mission. As has been the tradition
since our earliest days, St. Mary’s Academy today relies on
philanthropic gifts of all sizes. Support from alumnae, parents,
friends, corporations and foundations allow St. Mary’s Academy to
maintain the high-quality education for which we are known.
Your philanthropic partnership makes it possible for St. Mary’s Academy to educate and enrich the lives of more than 625 young women each year. Whether you choose to give to the St. Mary’s Fund, our fundraising events, through an annual or endowed scholarship or with a bequest, your generosity and commitment to St. Mary’s Academy is deeply appreciated. Thanks to your support, St. Mary’s is able to provide tuition assistance to bring talented and diverse young women to our school, attract and retain excellent faculty and also fund innovative programs, co-curricular activities and all the numerous avenues through which a student’s high school experience is enriched.
This all would not be
possible without the generous support of the entire St. Mary’s Academy
community. We are profoundly grateful for each and every gift because
each is an endorsement of the talented young women who attend St. Mary’s
Academy and helps to ensure they will reach their highest potential.
Ways to Give
You can support St. Mary's Academy in many ways and all gifts make a meaningful difference. Whether you decide to make an annual gift, establish an endowed scholarship, make a planned gift, support St. Mary’s fundraising events or donate a car, your generosity has a tremendous impact on the school’s students, faculty and programs.
Every gift, of every amount,
unrestricted or restricted, is important to St. Mary’s Academy. There
are many ways you can make a gift, including:
- Cash gifts -- Cash gifts can be made by check or credit card and are put to work immediately. You can send a cash gift to:
St. Mary’s Academy
1615 SW Fifth Avenue
Portland, OR 97201
- Online Giving -- With our secure server, giving to St. Mary’s has never been easier!
- Credit Card -- Gifts
may be charged to your Visa, MasterCard or American Express by providing your name as it is on the card, card number and expiration date.
- Monthly Giving -- You can easily make your gift in regular monthly installments from your credit card or bank account.
- Stock and wire transfers -- Contributions
of appreciated stock, or other capital assets that have increased
in value, can result in significant tax savings. The current full
value of the gift can generally be deducted, and the capital
gains tax on the amount of appreciation is avoided.
- Life insurance policies or retirement accounts
- Include a bequest to St. Mary’s Academy in your estate plans
- Establishing a trust that benefits the school and you.
- Matching Gifts -- Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar. Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. St.
Mary’s receives thousands of dollars each year because our donors
took the extra step necessary to maximize their gifts by
obtaining a matching gift form from a corporation or foundation
with which they are affiliated. If you have questions about your
company’s matching gift program, please contact your personnel
office.
- Donate your car
-- St. Mary’s partners with Volunteers of America Oregon to sell
your car and have the proceeds of the sale benefit St. Mary’s
Academy.
- Memorial or Honorary Gifts --
Gifts in honor or memory of classmates, parents, friends or family
members are a wonderful way to pay tribute to someone special.
The St. Mary’s development team is pleased to assist you with supporting our school.
