Blues finsh seasson strong
The Blues finished 2nd overall in the MHC district meet behind a powerful David Douglas squad. The team was led by standout senior, Maranda Alf-Huynh and junior, Rory Kearns. The two swimmers each qualified for two individual events and two relays made up of Alf-Huynh, Kearns, Sophia Hatzikos, Sarah Madison. With victories in the 500 M freestyle and the 100 M butterfly events, Kearns was named MHC Swimmer of the Meet by the conference coaches. 

The OSAA 6A State Championships were held on Feb. 15-16 at the Mt. Hood Community College Aquatic Center.  Both Kearns and Alf-Huynh scored big points for the Blues and in the end SMA finished 12th overall with a handful of athletes.

The Swimming Blues are dedicated to hard work, personal achievement and teamwork in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Our JV and Varsity squads comprise swimmers of all capabilities, from beginners to National qualifier. SMA swim practice is daily during the winter season at the PSU pool.
