The Cross Country team placed fourth at the 2009 OSAA 6A State Cross Country Championship at Lane Community College. Running for the Blues were seniors Alexa Kearns, Jen Olson, juniors Netanya Beard, Erin Bergmann, sophomore Bella Gazzola and freshman Ellen Patterson.
St. Mary's Varsity and JV teams won their 8th consecutive Mt. Hood Conference title at Sandy High school. Leading the way for the Blues were Lucy Whipps, Erin Bergmann, Alexa Kea, Netanya Beard, Bella Gazzola, Ellen Patterson and Jen Olson. The JV squad also had a strong showing taking the first 9 places. The team was led by Sophomore India Downes-Le Guin, Molly Walls, Maya Booth-Balk, Julia Tawney, Mickayla Phillis, Isa Almy, Hayley Kruell, Katy Henkle and Nora Helfand. With the win, the team earned a berth to the state meet.
