Alumnae Relations Alumnae Relations

Welcome New Alumnae Relations Coordinator!

St. Mary's Academy welcomes Stephanie Davis '89 as our new alumnae relations coordinator. She enjoyed organizing her 15-year class reunion in 2004 and has kept close ties with many of her friends from St. Mary's. Her professional background includes twelve years as a legal assistant for a successful local attorney. She received her B.A. in Arts and Humanities from Linfield College in 2006 and is the owner/operator of a small business called Chickaboom Desserts. Stephanie is excited to begin helping alumnae reconnect and stay involved with St. Mary's of today. She is eager to meet all of the alumnae of St. Mary's because she knows they share her passion for her alma mater. In her spare time she keeps busy thinking of new ways to spoil her godson, Max, who is the son of '89 alumna Kate Goode Test.

Who Are St. Mary's Alumnae?
Sister Shawn Marie Barry said it best: St. Mary's Academy takes "ordinary girls and turns them into extraordinary women." St. Mary's Academy has graduated over 10,000 extraordinary young women in its distinguished 148-year history. St. Mary's alumnae are making their mark on our world in the Peace Corps in Turkmenistan, in the United States courts, on Wall Street in New York City, and around the world in a myriad of vocations.

Whether she is a doctor, a banker, a mom, or an educator right here at St. Mary's teaching tomorrow's leaders, a St. Mary's alumna is a confident, educated, well-rounded woman with values and a strong sense of self.

These are our most recent alumnae (class of 2007)
with their legacy family members:

A Lifelong Network of Friendship and Support
The most important goal of the St. Mary's Alumnae Program is to maintain a solid network of communication between alumnae and the school. We also strive to build relationships among alumnae. Lifelong friendships are formed inside the familiar brick walls of St. Mary's, and the alumnae department works to ensure that friends never lose touch.

Stay Involved
There are so many ways you can stay involved. Be a leader among alumnae and join the Alumnae Council. Give the Gift of Time at the auction or at the SMA Academy Awards; be a mentor in our Alumna-Student Mentorship Program. This program gives current students a chance to meet alums who work in fields that interest them including medicine, science, journalism, education, and many others.

Come back and visit us and let us know what your life is like right now, what you're up to; come back and sing with us, do service with us, play sports with us. Most importantly, keep the spirit of St. Mary's alive in your hearts and take pride in saying, "I am an alumna of St. Mary's Academy."

Giving Back
Another important part of being an alumna is giving back to St. Mary's. Over the years, current students have depended on the generous support of alumnae. Stay a part of the St. Mary's community and help support our school. Your participation is a symbol of your commitment to keeping a St. Mary's education available to all young women regardless of the ability to pay full tuition.

Publications
The alumnae department sends regular IMPRINT alumnae magazines, a bi-monthly Blues e-mail newsletter, and invitations to special events and reunions. Be sure we have your current contact information. Give us a call, send us an e-mail, or print this Update My Information form and send via mail or fax. Also share your latest news. Tell us about academic successes, career moves, marriage, children, or anything. We'd like to print your update in the next issue of the IMPRINT.

Events and Reunions
St. Mary's hosts events for alumnae to connect with classmates and rekindle friendships.

  • St. Mary's Academy Awards honor alumnae who have made exceptional achievements in a variety of categories.
  • Reunions are usually held by classes every five years. We will notify you when it's time to start organizing, and help you plan a great reunion.
