St. Mary’s Academy Alumnae Advancement Council Mission
St. Mary’s Academy Alumnae Advancement Council is a representative network of alumnae, whose purpose is to support the strategic priorities of the school by leading and inspiring the alumnae at-large to engage at St. Mary’s through efforts in two primary areas: tangible philanthropic support and incremental involvement, both of which result in sustaining St. Mary’s Academy today and in the future.

Why We Do What We Do
As alumnae, we know first-hand that St. Mary's Academy is a school designed for the success of women. Within a framework of Catholic values, we have benefited from an education that focuses on women's ways of thinking, learning, leading and creating. Like other women in today’s society, our lives are very full, but we take the time for what is important. It is important to us that a St. Mary’s education continues to be a viable option for our daughters and granddaughters and for all young women of today and tomorrow. We believe that our families, our communities and our society will be better off because of the work tomorrrow’s alumnae will do in our world.

What Do Alumnae Advancement Council Members Do?

  • Meet regularly to develop a clear understanding of the needs of the school as outlined by school leadership. Based on this direction, Advancement Council members plan, organize and staff projects and events that engage increasing numbers of alumnae through involvement and/or giving.
  • Share ideas about how to increase both the breadth and depth of alumnae involvement at St. Mary’s.
  • Participate in special events and fundraisers with the St. Mary's Community.
  • Volunteer time and talents to keep St. Mary's going strong for future generations.
  • Develop ways to keep the community of St. Mary's in touch with the school and each other.
