SMA Alumnae Council Mission
St. Mary's Academy Alumnae Council is a diversified network of alumnae, whose purpose is to connect alumnae to St. Mary's and its greater community, to lead and inspire alumnae to be involved in the school's strategic priorities, and to promote life-long commitment to the mission of St. Mary's Academy.

As alumnae, we know first-hand that St. Mary's Academy is a school designed for the success of women. Within a framework of Catholic values, we have benefited from an education that focuses on women's ways of thinking, learning, leading and creating. We invite you to carry on the spirit, pride and tradition of our school by joining the Alumnae Council. It's fun and it's rewarding. What Do Alumnae Council Members Do?

• Meet monthly to develop, plan and organize council projects. Meetings are held at St. Mary's at 6pm on the third Monday of every month during the school year. Alumnae guests are welcome. All members of the council participate in a committee as outlined in our By-Laws.
• Share our ideas about how to get other alumnae involved with St. Mary's.
• Participate in special events and fundraisers with the St. Mary's Community.
• Volunteer time and talents to keep St. Mary's going strong for future generations.
• Develop ways to keep the community of St. Mary's in touch with each other and the school.
• Auxiliary membership is available to alumnae wanting to help with a particular project, but cannot commit to all the monthly meetings.

Volunteer Opportunities For Alumnae Council Members

• Events and projects developed by the Alumnae Council: Mentorship Program and the SMA Academy Awards.
• School fundraisers: Phonathon, Auction and Food for Thought luncheon, to name a few.
