Shadow Visits

One of the best ways to discover what it is like to be a St. Mary's student is to spend a day visiting the school and shadowing a current student. Starting in October, eighth grade and transfer students are invited to schedule a Shadow Visit. Seventh grade students are invited to schedule a visit in April.

Shadow visitors have the opportunity to experience St. Mary's Academy from a student's perspective. Visitors attend classes and lunch with a St. Mary's student, experience the rich classroom environment, and meet St. Mary's teachers.  They also interact with many SMA students and discover the uniqueness of an all-girls high school.

The typical shadow visit day begins at 7:55 a.m. and ends around 2:00 p.m. Visitors are asked to check in at the front hall at 7:45 a.m. Shadow visits can be scheduled by calling the Office of Admissions at 503-721-7725. Space is limited for each visit date so call soon to schedule your visit. A 45-minute parent tour will be offered each morning that we host guests at 8 a.m.

School Tours

A tour of the school for interested families may be arranged through the Office of Admissions. We encourage you to schedule your family tour during school hours so that you may view classes in session and more fully experience St. Mary's educational environment.
